In 1985 after many years experience as a legal secretary in Raleigh, North Carolina and Tampa, Florida, Vivian Tilley started Vivian Tilley, Court Reporter. The practice has since grown from a single reporter into Vivian Tilley & Associates, a corps of local reporters and a statewide network of contractors.
The Raleigh-Durham area is known for the hi-tech Research Triangle Park, world class medical centers at Duke University and the University of North Carolina, and three major research universities, Duke, UNC-Chapel Hill, and N.C. State.  In addition to plaintiffs’ and defendants’, Vivian Tilley & Associates covers a large number of expert witness depositions for regular clients and for out-of-state attorneys referred by local client law firms.
